How to support your athlete during the club season
As your child gears up for a season with SKY Volleyball Club, your support off the court is just as vital as their performance on it. From game-day duties to respectful communication, here’s how you can be an MVP parent this season

👥 Be a Game Day Hero
- Scorekeeper or Lineperson: These roles are essential for match flow. No experience? No problem—training is available, and it’s a great way to be part of the action.
- Assistant Coach: If you have volleyball knowledge and a knack for mentorship, consider lending your skills to the bench.
💰 Rally Around Fundraisers
Fundraising helps cover tournament fees, travel, and gear. Whether it’s organizing a bottle drive or showing off your grilling skills, your involvement fuels the team’s success.

📋 Take on Team Manager Duties
Team Managers coordinate logistics, communicate with families, and support coaches. If you’re organized and proactive, this is a great way to lead behind the scenes.
💬 Communicate Respectfully
SKY Volleyball Club values respect and ethical behavior. Keep communication with coaches constructive and focused on your child’s development. Review and understand the 24 hour rule.

⏰ Prioritize Punctuality
Getting your child to practices and games on time shows commitment and respect for the team. It also helps them stay mentally and physically prepared.

💙 Release Them to the Experience
As SKY’s philosophy says:
"SKY Parents will help their child have a great athletic experience by releasing them to the game, the team, the coaches, and the experience."
Trust the process and let your child grow through the journey.
Your involvement isn’t just helpful—it’s transformative. When parents, coaches, and athletes work together, the season becomes more than just a series of games. It becomes a journey of growth, teamwork, and unforgettable memories.
